On distant heights, a beacon lights, a signalling ray
As embers glow, in flames to grow, to journey my way
From peak to peak, the call repeats, each new fire ignites
With leaps and bounds, they skip the ground, a message takes flight
On through the mist, the glow persists, ‘til distant bells chime
Through canyons deep, the searching sweeps, unfrozen from time
‘til finally, inside of me, a feeling is found
It’s calling me, commanding me, to turn homeward bound

Sure as the glowing moon, ever ancient rune, guides me through the night
Sure as each day born, at the break of dawn, brings the morning light
I long to see home, I need to see home

The years they pass, like weeks they flash, too quickly to feel
The waters flow, as on we row, oblivious to real
The seasons change, the hopes remain, some memories can hide
‘til thoughts return, for all we yearn, that fills us with pride
