Ask the Blindman

by David J Caron

about

Verses based on a poem by an unknown author.. metaphors for the absurd contradictions, nonsensical propaganda and lies continually delivered today by the mainstream media matrix of deception..

lyrics

All I’ll tell you. ALL I’ll tell you is true..
Ladies and gentiles, monkeys and reptiles..
I stand before you my story to find you, to tell you something
I know little about, and that you’ll believe even less
without a doubt..
Oh oh oh oh oh believe me..
all I’ll tell you, all I’ll tell you is true..
One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight
Back to back they then faced each other, drew their swords and then shot each other
One was blind and the other couldn't see
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout "hooray!"
Believe me.. Believe me..
all I tell you, all I tell you is true ...yes it is..
A paralysed limping mule passing by,
Kicked the blind man and broke both his eyes
Knocked him right through ten nine inch walls,
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all
A stone-deaf policeman who’d heard all the noise,
arrived to arrest both the two dead boys
If you don't believe that this story is true,
Just ask the blind man he saw it too..
Oh oh oh oh ..
Don’t Believe me, don’t believe me..
Ask the blind man cos, he saw it too! Yes he did..
A paralysed limping mule passing by,
Kicked the blind man and broke both his eyes..
Did you hear what I told you?
A stone-deaf policeman who’d heard all the noise,
arrived to arrest both the two dead boys..
Did you hear what I told you?

One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight
all I’ll tell you is true..
Back to back they then faced each other, shot their swords and then drew each other
One was blind and the other couldn't see,
So they chose a dummy for a referee
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout "hooray!"
A paralysed donkey a-galloping by,
Kicked the blind man and blinded his eyes
Knocked him right through twelve eight inch walls,
Into a wet ditch and burned them all
A deaf stone policeman who’d heard all the noise,
arrived to arrest both the three dead boys
If you don't believe that this story is true,
Just Ask the blind man he saw it too..
Oh oh oh oh ..
Believe me, just believe me..
all I tell you, all I tell you is true..
.. Yes it is
monkeys and reptiles, Ladies and gentiles,
I stood before you my story behind you,
to tell you something I knew little about and that
you ‘ll believe even more now no doubt..

Believe me, believe me, all I tell you is true,,
believe me, believe me,,

Ask the blind man cos he saw it too!
Yes he did..

My Dad wrote this poem in 1957 for an act he performed for Tops in Blue when he was in the Air Force stationed at Ramey Air Force base in Puerto Rico. His name is Bermen Gasten Taylor. He is presently living in north Georgia in a town called Chattsworth, and has no idea of the life this poem has taken on itself. Please respond to this post if you were stationed on Ramey A.F.B. In 1957, and saw the show, or if you know someone who was, and saw the performance.
