This song tells the true story of how Captain Cook was the 1st known explorer to cross the Antarctic circle, unknowingly proving Earth a level motionless plane with his 60,000+ mile circumnavigation of the Southern oceans..discovering and following the ice perimeter containing the world's oceans..The alleged Globe equator "circumference" is said to be only 24,901 miles & the alleged Antarctic continent latitude "circumference" only approx 12,000 miles!

From the ends of the Earth I’d return just to hold you again..

In a tavern in Plymouth our adventure awaits
To my wife I’ve bid farewell as she waved from our gate
With a voyage at sea destiny I have date
For eight pieces of silver I boarded my fate
With two years of provisions from sauerkraut to nails
Nine ton Hogsheads of rum and casks brim full of ale
We made ship shape the rigging from crows-nest to keel
And with a weather eye open Captain Cook set sail

Hang on to the winds and head out to sea
Beyond the horizon the Ends of the Earth beckon we

In three years of discovering new lands for the crown
Two hundred thousand leagues with both Capes sailed around
On a mission for the mythical Southern continent bound
Well we searched the world over and it could not be found
All around all around like the turn of a wheel

In the year Seventeen hundred and seventy three
A hundred ninety four men sailed into history
‘Cross the Antarctic circle first ever we’d be
Unknown unchartered waters first known ever seen

Hang on for your lives we breach a new sea... onward
Beyond the horizon the Ends of the Earth there they be

From the heavens of lush Polynesia a dream Paradise
To a great barrier rim of impassable ice
Frozen islands Volcanoes twelve thousand feet high
Rising up one above other and into the distance
On every attempt impenetrable resistance
Gigantic glacial mountains lost through the clouds to the sky
There’s no way through to go.

All around ice around like the edge of a wheel
All around all around.. there’s no way round to go.

In icy depths beneath us, graves await ghost drowned sunken men
Will our fate be to sink here or return home to see you again

In the fog & March darkness of a black midnight sun
Our two ships separated though we fired sounding guns
Time and tide wait for no man to the end we have come
But come hell or high water journey home’s just begun
So turn the bow hard to starboard point our stern to this hell
We’ve maps and treasures of value discovered tales we must tell
Some never were seen again lost overboard they were fell
But come the White Cliffs of Dover, Land home we will shall yell!

Beyond all horizons the Ends of the Earth we have seen

To find a place can’t be found, need be lost else you’d know where it be..

Looming monoliths of Easter Island nearly lost our lives
Attacked by savages with rocks thrown in battle cries
On the Great barrier reef wrecked and almost capsized
But nothing compares to the endless
Sheer ice cliffs through no-one goes
Transparent blue frozen walls only we can know
Farther than ever reached before far as any man can go..
We’ve returned, from the ends of the Earth

Like the edge of a wheel
To find hell frozen over, there ‘n’ back we lost many good men
Like the turn of a wheel
From the ends of the Earth I’ve returned, to hold you again...
